Have you ever been browsing and spotted a ‘Lightning Deal’ on Amazon? That means you stumbled upon one of our blink-and-you'll-miss-it offers.

Lightning Deals are Amazon's way of bringing flash sale excitement to everyday shopping, offering impressive discounts on everything from tech and gadgets to home essentials. But here's the catch: these deals are only available for a limited time and with limited stock, so you need to act fast.

On Prime Day, Lightning Deals are only available to Prime members—meaning now is the perfect time to sign up ahead of July’s event.

What is a Lightning Deal?

Lightning Deals are one of Amazon’s best ways to save money. These limited-time discounts are released to shoppers daily and have strict time limits—and stock limits—meaning when they sell out, the deal is done.

Where do I find Lightning Deals?

You can find currently-running Lightning Deals by going to ‘Today’s Deals’ in the toolbar at the top of the page and then selecting the ‘Lightning Deals’ tab. Or, if you’re using Amazon’s search function, you’ll also see a red ‘Limited time deal’ badge next to any products currently discounted.

If you’re using the Amazon mobile app, tap the three-line menu at the bottom of the screen and choose the ‘Deals & Savings’ button. Then tap ‘Today’s Deals’ and tap ‘Filters’. Finally, scroll down and, in the ‘Browse by’ section, tap Lightning Deal.

How long do Lightning Deals last?

Lightning Deals can last for as little as a few hours—or until all available inventory is claimed. In the last six hours of the deal, a timer will appear next to the Lightning Deal indicating how much time is remaining to complete your purchase and redeem the discount.

How do Lightning Deals work?

Because Lightning Deals are limited in stock, customers can only buy one of each item.

After selecting ‘add to basket’, you will have 15 minutes to complete your purchase. If you don’t complete your purchase within 15 minutes, you’ll lose the deal and it will be available for another shopper to snap up!
