Amazon is delighted to have been named the winner of Retail Week’s Attentive Consumer Choice Award in 2022.
The award winner is decided by customers who vote for their favourite UK retailer – so we want to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everybody who voted for Amazon this year.
For 27 years, the Retail Week Awards have celebrated the creativity, innovation and excellence of the UK retail industry. The awards celebrate a variety of individuals, from boardroom leaders and digital stars, to store managers.
Customer obsession is one of four core principles that guide us in delivering on our mission. That means we always start with the customer and work backwards whenever we are innovating and building on their behalf. We work vigorously to earn and keep customer trust.
Customer obsession is also the first of Amazon’s Leadership Principles, which define our inclusive, meritocratic working culture. We use our Leadership Principles every day, whether we’re discussing ideas for new projects or solving problems. In that way, customer obsession drives our ambition to constantly improve our customers’ experience.
This award follows a series of successful months for Amazon and our employees in the fields of representation and service. Our LGBTQ+ affinity group, Glamazon, was recently named as one of the world’s top ten LGBT networks; our Amazon Future Engineer programme won Charity Partnership Award at the Business Charity Awards; and AWS’s ID&E Customer Engagement Lead, Tolu Oke, was named the winner of the Women in IT award.
We are thrilled to have won the Consumer Choice Award and will continue to develop on this success by finding new and innovative ways to work on behalf of our customers.
