Amazon has opened the first of two new London office buildings in East London. These will join the existing London HQ in Shoreditch (LHR16), as well as corporate sites in other parts of the UK such as Bristol, Swansea, Cambridge, Edinburgh, and Manchester.
The introduction of the two new corporate buildings, which are only steps away from the current HQ, provides additional space for our teams. It will result in increased desk space, the creation of further meeting rooms, and additional space to host events.

The new offices are located on Hewett Street and Curtain Road in Shoreditch, with the first opening in November 2025. The Curtain Road office is due to open its doors in April 2026. These buildings will join our existing London offices.
LHR139, which is Amazon's newest corporate office, welcomed employees on 24 November. It features eight floors with nearly 600 seats.

The news initially came as part of Amazon’s announcement that it plans to invest £40 billion in the UK over the next three years (2025-2027). This will support thousands of new permanent, full-time jobs in the UK, with the vast majority outside of London and the South East.
As a top 10 private sector employer, Amazon already employs over 75,000 people in the UK providing corporate roles of all kinds, at all levels, in communities across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

Additionally, as part of the investment, Amazon opened a state-of-the-art facility in Hull in 2025, creating 2,000 jobs, with another 2,000 being created at a fulfilment centre in Northampton in 2026.
Driving innovation throughout the UK, it is estimated that the overall investment will contribute an additional £38 billion to the UK’s total Gross Domestic Product (GDP), demonstrating Amazon’s continued commitment to supporting growth and productivity for the benefit of its customers, partners, and the wider economy.
