Amazon is building four new fulfilment centres and delivery stations nationwide, creating thousands of new jobs in the UK.
The first new state-of-the-art fulfilment centre has already opened in Hull, creating more than 2,000 jobs. Amazon will also launch another fulfilment centre in Northampton in 2026, followed by two more in the East Midlands. A number of new delivery stations will also be opened across the country in the next three years.
The fulfilment centre in Hull sits next to an 88,000 square foot delivery station from where Amazon dispatches customer orders.
Amazon pays full-time employees a minimum of £29,744 per year (£31,824 in London), and will create over 60 different roles at the new sites, including positions for robotics technicians, safety experts, and mechatronic engineers.

The news comes as part of Amazon’s announced plan to invest £40 billion in the UK over the next three years (2025-2027). The investment will create thousands of new permanent, full-time jobs in the UK, with the vast majority outside of London and the South East.
Additionally, the company will open two new office buildings near its current London HQ in the Borough of Hackney.
It is estimated the overall investment will contribute an additional £38 billion to the UK’s total Gross Domestic Product (GDP), demonstrating Amazon’s continued commitment to supporting growth and productivity for the benefit of its customers, partners, and the wider economy.
As a top 10 private sector employer, Amazon already employs over 75,000 people in the UK, providing roles of all kinds, at all levels, across every region of the country.
