Arriving in summer 2025, the new series is being executive produced by Peaky Blinders creator and lifelong Blues fan Steven Knight, who aims to use his personal connection with the club to ensure authenticity. Therefore, as well as looking at day-to-day operations, the show will also explore Birmingham City’s heritage and loyal fanbase, who have stuck with the club through thick and thin. It will spotlight how Birmingham City FC is transforming, partly in thanks to this community.

The UK Original documentary goes behind the scenes with England’s new generation of football stars including Cole Palmer, Kobbie Mainoo, Marc Guehi and Ollie Watkins.

Alongside Knight, Birmingham City FC board member Matt Alvarez (Straight Outta Compton, Are We There Yet?) will also serve as an executive producer, with Brady’s media company Religion Of Sports and leading production company Whisper producing the series. Filmmaker duo Chopra and Claudia Corbisiero are on board to direct after their work on documentary Sven.

The new series joins Prime Video’s collection of exclusive sports documentaries and docuseries including: The New Generation, All or Nothing: Arsenal, Doubters to Believers Liverpool FC: Klopp’s Era99, Ronnie O’Sullivan: The Edge of Everything, Sven, Rooney, Ben Stokes: Phoenix from the Ashes, Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In, and more.
