In September 2014, Amazon launched Fire TV, a tiny box that plugs into an HDTV for easy and instant access to streaming and catch-up services such as Netflix, Amazon Video, BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My5 and more. Fire TV also brings photos, music, and games to the living room.

Customers love Fire TV devices, and are particularly fond of the innovative voice search feature. Instead of requiring customers to type on an alphabet grid, simply speak the name of a movie, TV show, actor, director, genre, app, or game into the remote, and the results will instantly appear.

The .7'' thin device aims to make customers' content and game streaming seamless. And it's loaded with innovative features. Advanced Streaming and Prediction (ASAP) predicts which movies and TV episodes customers will want to watch next and buffers them for playback before customers even hit play. Fire TV seamlessly syncs with Amazon's Cloud Drive, meaning customers can bring their photos and personal videos to the big screen. And, like Fire tablets, Fire TV comes innovative and advanced parental controls, allowing parents to manage what their kids see and set time limits for types of content and times of day—no more negotiating for one more show before bedtime.
