AWS re/Start is a full-time, classroom-based skills development and training programme that prepares individuals for careers in the cloud and connects them to potential employers.

The programme is focused on unemployed or underemployed individuals, including military veterans and their families, and young people. The programme provides free training to help participants launch a career in technology. After a two-year beta program in the UK, AWS re/Start has now expanded globally. The AWS re/Start cohorts in London and Manchester are delivered in collaboration with Generation, The Prince’s Trust, and The Ministry of Defense.

AWS re/Start is designed to support people with differing levels of experience – even those with no previous technical knowledge can apply to learn the fundamental knowledge needed to launch a career working on the AWS Cloud.

The IT fundamentals and AWS Cloud training has been developed by AWS and will be taught by AWS-certified instructors who have in-depth technical knowledge of the AWS Cloud. In addition, learners receive job-specific training on building effective troubleshooting, escalation, and task automation techniques to help them launch an entry-level cloud career.

Each cohort of 25 learners, supported by professional mentors and accredited trainers, completes a 12 week training featuring scenario-based learning, hands-on labs, and coursework. In addition, AWS re/Start provides learners with resume and interview coaching to prepare for employer meetings and interviews.
