This expanded the number of teams from 32 to 36.\n\nEach team has been ranked into four seeding pots. The seeding pots are defined by each club’s five-year UEFA coefficient ranking, with the Champions League titleholder automatically placed as the top seed in Pot 1.\n\nClubs are then drawn to play two opponents from the different pots at both home and away. A team is not able play another team from their respective country at this stage.\n\nEach result will influence the overall ranking of teams within the new league, with the final round of fixtures taking place on 28 January 2026.\n\n![Premier League footballer on Amazon Prime Video](https://assets.aboutamazon.com/dims4/default/fd14c80/2147483647/strip/true/crop/3499x2333+0+0/resize/300x200!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fassets.aboutamazon.com%2F05%2Fd2%2Fa7ef8d9049a18cb5e86012f80710%2Fprimevideo-mufc-cfc-atimms-0036.JPG)\n\n- [How to watch live football on Prime Video in the UK](https://www.aboutamazon.co.uk/news/entertainment/live-football-amazon-prime-video)\n\nAt the end of the league phase, the top eight sides will automatically qualify for the round of 16, which takes place the week of 9 March 2026.\n\nTeams which finish 9th to 24th will compete in a two-legged knockout phase play-off to secure a place in the round of 16.
